Jonathan,
I tried to access the 'Tab' module we talked about earlier, and noticed that the download site listed in Moodle.org is no longer active. Do you have another point of access?

Yes, looking forward to meeting you. Hope that you can make it. It should be interesting as we have a few interested school divisions and some Consortium reps there.

Cheers!

We are at the very beginning of this adventure...but moving fast.

We have our Student Engagement project teachers using it for sharing resources and hopefully starting to share reflections.

Our Tech Committee was introduced to Moodle this week and challenged to post the their social forum. From that meeting 2 of them want to use it with their classes for very specific purposes...not quite as an LMS yet.

We also have 1 science teacher who is delivering content via Moodle for 1 of his classes...more of a pilot.

Like I said we are neophytes in this area...scary, exciting, intriqueing...FUN!!!

Maybe also if people have a preferred method of contact... through this site, e-mail, discussion forum somewhere, phone, etc.... ?? but perhaps this could be a setting that is only revealed to specified people? Maybe that's too complicated.

Hey Jon, my curiosity gets me every time! I like how you asked about school divisions - helpful when trying to locate someone..... might also be intereting to know who has experience with Elluminate, in case we all want to get together synchronously.....

Great People doing Great Things in Southern Alberta

Big thanks to Todd Diakow for putting on a two day Moodle seminar in Calgary this past week. I met all kinds of innovative and creative teachers and ed tech specialist who are using Moodle in their schools. I really enjoyed the discussion on lesson or course template/best practice, and the idea for inter-jurisdiction collaboration on this.

Any luck with Mahara and Moodle Todd?

I also plan on using the menu block, switching to OU wiki, and turning on AJAX editing. Those are great pieces we had… Continue

MoodleMan has addressed this topic in his blog. The solution is not easy as each parent has to be assigned to a student, and have their own log in, but it is do-able. I believe with the new roles feature in 2.0 this may be a little easier, but tim...

In earlier versions of Moodle (1.6 or so) I used to create a meta-course for other courses to tie in to. This allowed me to have one location to hold files and questions or a question bank that could be shared amoung various child courses. This a...

It didn't sound bitter at all. Credit where credit is due. What was funny for me, is I had just put on a Moodle inservice up North and had shown the new teachers that they did not have to worry about reducing their topics down, since the content w...

I would love to see some tips here too. I'm helping present a little Intro to Moodle, and instead of my usual High School or online learning crowd, the majority will be teachers of grades 1 - 6. So any thoughts on winning uses of Moodle for young ...
